My Priorities
Modernize Alum Rock Schools
I am running to build a future where Alum Rock students have safe and exceptional schools where they can learn and thrive. I also want to provide taxpayers a great return on investment into our district.
Transparency of Public Dollars
As Chair of the Citizen’s Bond Oversight Committee, I understand how we can use our dollars wisely on large construction projects. I want to bring my experiences to ensure that Alum Rock is transparent in their expenditures in supporting students. I will ensure that no public dollars are spent unethically. When the district is engaging in new projects, the opportunity should be open first to employees, then to ALL, not just the few in the know.
Retain Teachers and Staff
We need to retain great teachers, staff, and administrators and the way to start is by showing respect and listening. I will create a welcoming environment for our staff and advocate for better student learning conditions. When we have Board Meetings, I will ensure that meetings are held with decorum and without yelling or insults. I will ensure that at our Alum Rock meetings we respect differences in opinion and we serve as role models for our children and staff.
